According to the San Antonio Business Journal’s Katie Burke, local insurance giant, USAA, is expanding its downtown San Antonio staff substantially in the coming year. In San Antonio, USAA Real Estate Co. owns One Riverwalk Place, a commercial office building along the 700 block of St Mary’s Street. By the end of Q1 2017, the company aims to have 250 employees at that location — about half of which in the tech sector. There are about 150 USAA employees working out of the Alamo City downtown location today. The new cohort is slated to be a mix of new hires and those re-locating from other offices in the coming year.
