Hemisfair and San Pedro Creek Redevelopment Projects Boost Luxury Residence Sales
Alteza Residences today announced sales of its luxury high-rise downtown condominium homes during the first six months of 2015 have already surpassed year-end figures for 2014.
“The demand for luxury residences in the culturally rich San Antonio city center is high, and Alteza is leading the way with the most desirable location and amenities available,” said Raymond McCall, executive vice president of Texas Riverwalk Residences, LP. “Buyers appreciate the incomparable location, which offers stunning views of the city and the developing Hemisfair Park, as well as a walkable lifestyle at prices that, for the moment, still remain under the cost of replacement.”
Alteza’s sales reflect the continuing trend toward downtown living for San Antonio’s young professionals and empty-nesters, who are drawn to the area’s sports and entertainment opportunities, as well as its fine dining and cultural interests. Alteza saw unprecedented sales in 2014, but its 2015 sales figures dwarf even those. Since January 1, Alteza has sold 21 units averaging $520,140 each for total sales of $16.5 million. Of those sales, $11,986,105 has closed and $4,570,400 is pending.
The City of San Antonio is in the midst of a one-billion-dollar effort to create a welcoming public realm and a vibrant downtown at the center of the city. Dubbed “The Decade of Downtown,” the strategic plan includes more than a billion dollars in public improvements, including the San Antonio River Improvments Project, the Tobin Center for the Performing Arts, expansion of the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center, and the addition of a downtown HEB.
McCall said two projects that are positively impacting Alteza’s sales are the redevelopment at Hemisfair Park and the nearby San Pedro Creek Expansion Project. The vision for Hemisfair is to create a series of urban parks embraced by a vibrant and walkable neighborhood—an urban oasis and central gathering place for all of San Antonio, with rolling green lawns and shaded natural groves, programmed activities, sustainable water features, and an abundance of new amenities. A collaboration between Bexar County, the San Antonio River Authority and the City of San Antonio, the San Pedro Creek Expansion Project aims to revitalize the two-mile segment that runs through the west side of downtown. It should be completed by March 2016.
Alteza Residences will be hosting their next Open House Weekend on Saturday and Sunday, July 11th & 12th. . Popular with real estate professionals and potential homeowners, the event offers an ideal opportunity for those who wish to preview Alteza’s designer decorated models and the view from the rooftop pool.
“We work with each interested buyer one-on-one, fully explaining all of Alteza’s features and advantages, and giving them a flavor of the lifestyle and service they can expect as residents,” said Sales Manager Shawn McGuire. “There simply is no other downtown address that offers a comparable location or the level of luxury, service and value available at Alteza.”
